Ever wish you could make family meals that everyone actually looks forward to? This is Ina’s guide to making that happen.
Barefoot Contessa Family Style
Description
Years ago, I rushed after work to get to a Crate and Barrel where Ina was doing a book signing for Family Style. I was the last person to make it in the door before they closed. When I got to the table in front of Ina I was legitimately starstruck and could barely squeak out my name for her to personalize the book. Family Style has been a classic in our home ever since.
What I Love About Family Style:
- The recipes are crowd-pleasers that still feel grown-up
- Everything can be scaled up or down easily (I’d say perfect for leftovers, but in a house with three teenage boys, what are leftovers?)
- There are great tips for making things ahead
- There’s even a menu-planning section to help you put an entire meal together
Standout Recipes:
- Chicken Stew with Biscuits (page 90)
- Linguini with Shrimp Scampi (page 106)
- Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomatoes (page 58)
Perfect for:
- Families who want to level up their dinner game
- Anyone who hosts casual gatherings (and wants to enjoy them!)
- People looking for recipes that please both kids and adults
